A warm Nordic sauna interior

The Science

Four mechanisms.
One quiet protocol.

We don’t make medical claims. We do believe people deserve a clear, honest explanation of how the tools we sell actually work on the body. Below are the four mechanisms behind every Veltura product, written in plain language, rooted in widely-accepted physiology, free of hype.

01

How heat works

Warming the body opens blood vessels (vasodilation), increasing circulation to muscle and skin. That gentle, deeper bloodflow helps tissues relax, supports the body’s natural recovery processes, and creates the soft, settled feeling of being properly warm.

In the collection

Saunas. Sauna blankets. Heated pads. Warming wraps.

02

How cold works

Cool the body and blood vessels narrow (vasoconstriction). Blood draws inward toward the core. When you step back into warmth, vessels reopen and a fresh wave of circulation rushes back out. The result, for most people, is a feeling of clarity, calm and reset.

In the collection

Ice barrels. Cold plunges. Cold water immersion.

03

How contrast works

Alternating heat and cold, the Nordic protocol, combines both responses into one cycle. Warm to loosen, cool to reset, return to warmth. It’s a centuries-old rhythm that turns recovery into a ritual rather than a routine.

In the collection

Sauna → cold plunge → rest. Repeat 2–3 rounds.

04

How massage & compression work

Mechanical pressure on muscle and fascia, whether by hand, percussion or compression, helps soft tissue release tension and supports normal lymphatic and circulatory flow. Used consistently, it lets the body settle into a parasympathetic, rest-and-restore state.

In the collection

Percussion guns. Compression boots. Gua sha. Acupressure mats.

A Note on Claims

What recovery tools can do, and what they can’t.

Heat, cold, contrast and massage are well-studied modalities used in physical therapy, sports medicine, and traditional wellness practices around the world. They support how the body already recovers. They do not cure conditions, replace medical care, or guarantee outcomes. If you have a heart condition, are pregnant, or have any concerns, please speak with a clinician before beginning a new practice.
